Maxline Brewery collaborated with students at my college to put together a competition and exhibition focused around the beer pots of Africa. The label had to be sized to fit a crowler can, had to have Maxline’s original logo, and room for the type of beer and the ABV percentage.
The inspiration for my design came directly from several beer pots themselves. The name, 'Dumela,' is a greeting in Sotho, the language belonging to South Sesotho. The first design is meant to be a wrap-around label, and the second design is meant to be a die-cut sticker-type label.
