For this assignment, we were required to either rebrand a previous olympics campaign or come up with one of our own. Instead of choosing someplace on Earth, I went with having a winter olympics series on Pluto. The inspiration for the logo came from the snowflake motifs in logos like the Salt Lake, Sarajevo, and Calgary olympics.
These are some of the initial concepts I played around with when starting this project. The idea of Mars hosting the olympics came up, but I ultimately decided to stick with Pluto.
Some environmental graphics that would be banners on the sides of skiing/snowboarding tracks and ice skating rinks. The top design is a rough idea of where the winners would stand/float after receiving their medals.
These posters would advertise the events happening around the planet. The names of the arenas are from its moon, the latest mission, and one of the scientists who worked on the latest mission.
This is an app that athletes would use to check-in, navigate around the olympic campus, and keep up to date on the most recent events.
